Brandi passante became an overnight sensation after her role in A&E's Reality Show 'StorageWars. The show also was a part of Jarrod Schulz, Passante's boyfriend of many years and now husband. Storage lockers, which are rented out to tenants who had not paid rent in the last three months, are auctioned off in the show. Brandi and Jarrod, who are the owners of and manage the "Now and Then thrift store located in Orange, California, participated in the show in the hopes of buying some storage units at a bargain price. The couple didn't realize that the show would make them reality-TV superstars. The couple was very tactful when it came to their requests during the entire show and became one of the main celebrities. The couple's success in the reality show has led them to grow their company. They also opened a second location in addition to the one they previously operated. A spin-off titled Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job was created based on their appearance in Storage Wars.
